Kaminer fashions these 0.5" diameter earrings by hand and hammer, then gives each piece a high gloss finish.
Each piece is stamped with the maker's mark KH and either Sterling or .925. The design for these silver earrings was based on the poppy flower. During the First World War, soldiers fighting in Belgium and Northern France noticed the resilience of a seemingly fragile flower, the cornfield poppy. Afterward it was adopted as a symbol of strength by American soldiers returning from the war.
