Sugar Maple, Acer Saccharum is a species that is widely found throughout New England.  It is one of the most dense and therefore hardest species, and of course, it's sap is used to produce maple syrup.  This one of a kind piece features an American Hornbeam stripe.  Hornbeam is also known as Ironwood or Musclewood, due to its hardness.
